The successful Scottish pop band Wet Wet Wet were formed in Clydebank, Scotland in 1986. They had a number of successful hits in the UK charts and around the world. They had their biggest hit in 1994 with a cover version of the Troggs single “Love is All Around”. It was a huge hit around the world and spent fifteen weeks at number one in the UK charts. American singer, songwriter, record producer, and guitarist Lenny Kravitz was born Leonard Albert Kravitz in New York on 26th May 26 1964. His retro-style melange of rock, pop, funk, and techno has been heavily inspired by Prince, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield and Bob Marley. Kravitz is the son of Hollywood producer Sy Kravitz and Bahamian American actress Helen Willis. His 1991 album Mama Said reached the top 40 of the Billboard album charts and spawned the hit single “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over”, which reached #2 on the charts and #10 on the Billboard R&B charts. Singer-songwriter and multi-talented musician, Van Morrison was born George Ivan Morrison on 31st August 1945 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He started his career as lead singer of the Irish band Them, writing their 1966 hit “Gloria”, then left a few years later to begin his immensely successful solo career. His career has spanned four decades and he has been a major musical influence on many artists. In 1989, Morrison released Avalon Sunset, which featured the ballad, “Have I Told You Lately” (also recorded by Rod Stewart). It was a critical and commercial success.
