Released as a single in 1985 “Jealous Guy”, this John Lennon song has been re-recorded nearly a hundred times as a cover version. The most famous cover version was by Roxy Music, but it was also recorded by the Black Crowes, Jeff Tweedy, Peter Criss of KISS and The Pahinui Brothers. Born on 9th October 1940, John Winston Ono Lennon was a British singer, songwriter, guitarist and political activist. He was most famous as guitarist, songwriter and vocalist with The Beatles. He was tragically shot dead in New York on 8th December 1980. “Imagine” was released in 1971 from the album of the same name. The song has gone on to be used as an anthem for anti-war movements.
