Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock on 26th November 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee. She is an American R&B, pop, rock and soul singer. She started her career in The Ike and Tina Turner Revue during the 1960s and 1970s, and then made a solo comeback in the mid 80s. “The Best” was on eher most successful solo singles, released in 1989 and gaining no. 15 in the US charts, and no.5 in the UK.
